  Two stars only because 1. there is a JP here, and 2. I got my forms signed. Other than that, nothing to recommend. Rudely told to sign in (I was looking for the QR code!) Stuff everywhere in the aisles, long wait at back of shop despite only one person in the line. No greetings, no eye contact, zero positive interaction.

  Minimum spend in this post office $10
  
  Have serious doubts my parcel will reach its destination.
  
  I could say more but I’d just be repeating the other bad reviews.

  This post office is quite literally the most hopeless AusPost in the existence of AusPost LPO’s. I have two distinct experiences where the agent seems to not be able to actually render AusPost services:
  
  1) Using an AusPost Pay barcode, the agent seemingly didn’t understand what I was trying to do. When the barcode failed to scan, she turned me away because she didn’t know what to do. Having gone to the AusPost at Warringah Mall, they pretty much instantly knew how to make it work (enter the code under the barcode), and were able to get it done within a minute.
  
  2) Attempting to return a package, I couldn’t download a barcode. I had a code to reference so that when a barcode didn’t work, you could still access the return label. She simply refused to attempt to enter the reference number, and insisted on a barcode… that I didn’t have. ???. Again; another AusPost seemingly had no issue with using it.
  
  This LPO has a phobia of entering any sort of code and insisting on using barcodes. Why? God knows. Every other AusPost seems to not have any issues in using them.

  *The Worst Auspost shop in Australia* I despise this shop. I mostly despise this shop because of their $10 minimum eftpos limit, but let's face it, their miserable and obnoxious attitudes to customer service contributed quite a bit to compelling me to write this review.
  
  The first time I encountered their refusal to accept legal tender was when my 10 yo daughter wanted to buy a nice magazine to wrap for her mum's Christmas to open as a subscription. She went in with my card. Chose the magazine (interior design). The magazine was $9.50. They refused to sell a 10yo girl a magazine for the difference of 50c. Then tried to get her to decide on buying lollies to take it over $10! Who does that to a 10yo kid?!
  
  Today... today was the tipping point. Today they refused to sell me a prepaid Auspost Express envelope. It cost $9.20. I thought it would be different for Auspost products... but no. Flat refusal. And this during Covid when we're discouraged to carry cash as a virus transmission risk.
  
  These are quite literally the worst custodians of what is an essential community service. I feel sorry for all the old veterans from the local village who have to make their way to this shop for newspapers, stationery or scratchies, only to be met with a commitment to frowning, disinterest, and misery at a level I've rarely seen.
  
  Compare this to the PO at Collaroy Beach where they're only too happy to take eftpos for any transaction. Unfortunately, they close early on Saturday otherwise I'd have gone there, as I always do now, to ensure I never give the shop on Veteran's Parade any of my business.
  
  I've submitted a complaint to Auspost, for what good that'll do. Perhaps we can organise the community to open another newsagent and win the licence for Auspot and improve the service for the locals. It certainly wouldn't be hard to do it better — they've set the bar so low.
  
  One star is too good — wheres the zero star option?

  It takes a lot for me to write a bad review but this Post Office / shop takes the cake - it is absolutely the worst I have ever experienced.
  
  Apart from the unfriendly and unhelpful service, the minimum $10 limit on Eftpos is disgusting. I politely asked them why this was and was bluntly told "it's the system" - when I asked them to consider the poor retirees and anyone who is struggling financially, the reply - "they pay cash". So sad the veterans and anyone who has to use this essential service are forced to have to endure this type of behaviour.
  
  It's Collaroy Beach Post Office for me from now on - they're absolutely lovely and so helpful there!
